Johnny MoonJohnny Moon is a fourth-year master's degree student at the University of Nottingham, studying geography with a focus on medical, economic and political geography. His paper on podoconiosis, written for his third-year undergraduate dissertation, takes a medical geography perspective to explore the effectiveness of a patient treatment program in Northern Ethiopia. It looks at the impact that climatic and demographic factors have on the progress of patient treatment. Moon considers it a great honor to be awarded the Geographies of Health and Wellbeing Research Group Annual Dissertation Prize 2016.
